November in Lyngen – Northern Lights & Arctic Adventures

Our Lyngen Experience winter programmes include all the best experiences for you to enjoy the Arctic at its full potential. You can choose between our two regular packages, 3 nights and 4 nights.

The following descriptions are an example of an itinerary for the activities during this period, the schedule can be modified upon arrival. Taylor made packages can also be prepared in case your flight schedule is not suitable for these programmes.

- Regular transfers in and out from Tromsø. Pick up: 15.30 - 16. Drop off: 12.00.

- Accommodation in Double/Twin Bedroom with full board included (breakfast, lunch and dinner)(does not include drinks)

- Winter clothes during the whole stay (warm suit, shoes and mittens)

  • Pick up by our transfer at 15.30 - 16 hs at the airport or hotel in the city.

    NORTHERN LIGHTS EXPERIENCE

    The adventure starts in the evening at the Lodge. We will make the trip to our Northern Lights tent in the woods.

    Here we make a fire and use the tent as a base camp, if the sky conditions allow us, we can enjoy this majestic nature show.

    A unique exhibition in the sky combined with a pristine landscape is an experience of a lifetime.

    If the guides consider it necessary, for weather reasons, the tour might not go to the northern lights tent in the woods but shall be transferred by car to a better location to watch the lights. LENGTH OF THE ACTIVITY: Approximately 4 hours

    STARTING TIME: 19.00

  • We board our boat located in the harbour in Nord-Lenangen, some minutes away from the lodge.

    Our captain sails a Targa 46, a high-speed boat that can cover long distances quickly, so we sail where the whales were last observed. When we find these beautiful giants, we can get close to them, which creates perfect moments for good photos and great experiences. During the search, we will sail through magnificent nature. Should we be unlucky not to see whales, the trip will be a unique experience.

    LENGTH OF THE ACTIVITY: Between 4 to 6 hours.

    STARTING TIME: 9.00 AM

  • Visit the northernmost distillery in the world. An hour away driving from the lodge you will have the chance to discover this extraordinary place where you will learn all about the process of whiskey production in this remote part of the world, and enjoy a guided tour through the distillery and the barrels - warehouse. Special Whiskey barrels will be open and passengers will get to smell and taste exclusive products, straight from the barrel.

    It takes passengers through the journey from barley grain to finished bottle, where they get in-depth information about the world's northernmost Whiskey.

    LENGTH OF THE ACTIVITY: 4 hours. (2 hours drive both ways)

    STARTING TIME: 10.30 AM

  • In our area, there are many nice vantage points. The weather conditions determine where we start the day's trip. A very popular trip is the route to the lighthouse at Lyngstuva.

    We will explore different tracks in snow-covered forests with stunning views.

    Hiking in the quiet mountains in the middle of winter is a peaceful and fresh experience. LENGTH OF THE ACTIVITY: 3 - 4 hours

    STARTING TIME: 9.30 AM

  • The regular transfer will be provided leaving the lodge at 09.45 and reaching the airport and Tromsø city around 12 - 12.30.
