To witness the Northern Lights in the Lyngen Alps is to experience a profound connection with nature. The silence of the snowy wilderness amplifies the spectacle, creating a sense of timelessness and wonder.
As dusk settles over the rugged peaks of the Lyngen Alps, the stage is set for a celestial spectacle. Away from the glow of urban lights, the darkness deepens, revealing a canvas of stars that seem almost within reach. It is in this pristine wilderness that the Northern Lights emerge, painting the night sky with ethereal hues of green, violet, and sometimes even red.
Our northern light tour starts in the evening from the lodge, from where we take a small walk to our northern lights tent in the woods, also known as lavvo. This is the best place for making a fire and keeping us cosy while we wait to watch the northern lights.
A unique exhibition in the sky combined with a pristine landscape is an experience of a lifetime.
Guided by experts, the chances of watching the northern lights are high, but sometimes we have to change our location to chase them, making a great experience watching the experts understand the atmosphere.
